Advanced Sleep & Breathing Disorders Laboratory is one of New York's oldest and largest independent multi-center diagnostic firms specializing in Sleep Diagnostics. It is important to note, that, unlike most other centers, we are not owned by a physician or hospital- we are a Medicare Certified Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF). 

What is an IDTF and How Does it Benefit Me?

Medicare defines IDTFs as suppliers of diagnostic tests that are independent of a hospital or a physician office. An IDTF may be a fixed location, a mobile entity, or an individual nonphysician practitioner. Although we are supervised by Board Certified Sleep Specialists, a patient is not required to be examined by our staff physicians before a sleep study. A prescription or referral by your own personal physician or health care provider is all we need to move forward with your most important study. 

We have been working very closely with physicians throughout New York State for over 10 years, testing patients for all forms of sleep disorders, such as, sleep apnea , snoring, insomnia,narcolepsy,restless leg syndrome and pre-surgical medical clearance.

Currently, we have over 16 convenient locations to serve our clients. Because we have 16 locations, unlike most smaller facilities and most hospital centers,we have no long waiting lists and are usually able to fit in emergency cases the same day.

Our intake department handles pre-certification, patient scheduling and insurance verification. Unlike other centers that demand an appointment with their staff physician, we have no such requirement.
